Equipment

  • Large Punch Bowl
  • Ladle

Ingredients

Base Juices

  • 4 cups 100% pure cranberry juice chilled
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice chilled
  • 2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice chilled

Fizz & Garnishes

  • 4 cups ginger ale or ginger beer chilled
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries washed
  • 2 whole oranges sliced into thin rounds
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary smacked to release oils

Instructions

  • Phase 1: Prep Work. Start by ensuring all of your juices and sodas are thoroughly chilled in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours before mixing. Slice your oranges into thin, beautiful rounds and wash your fresh cranberries.
  • Phase 2: Mixing the Base. In a large, chilled punch bowl or glass beverage dispenser, pour in the 100% cranberry juice, pomegranate juice, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Give it a gentle but thorough stir with a long ladle to combine. Note: You can do this step up to 48 hours in advance!
  • Phase 3: Finishing Touches. Right before your guests arrive, gently pour the chilled ginger beer or ginger ale down the side of the bowl to preserve the carbonation. Scatter the fresh cranberries, orange slices, and rosemary sprigs across the top. Give the liquid one single, gentle fold with your ladle.

Notes

Chef's Tip for Ice: Never add standard ice cubes directly to your punch bowl; they will melt rapidly and dilute the flavor. Make a decorative ice ring using a Bundt pan filled with water, a splash of cranberry juice, fresh cranberries, and orange slices frozen overnight.
Reheating Leftovers: Simmer flat leftover punch in a saucepan with two cinnamon sticks, a star anise pod, and fresh orange peels for 15 minutes to create a warm, mulled holiday cider.
